Does marketing still matter? Absolutely, says Marc Pritchard, chief brand officer at Procter & Gamble.

“In my view, there’s never been a more exciting time to be in marketing, there’s never been a more exciting time to be in business. And there’s never been a time where marketing or business matters more,” Pritchard said to an audience of Wisconsin MBA students and alumni as part of the M. Keith Weikel Leadership Speaker Series at the Wisconsin School of Business.

During his 36 years with one of the world’s biggest brands—nearly 5 billion people use P&G products globally—Pritchard has held numerous roles in addition to his current one, including president of global cosmetics and personal care; president of strategy, productivity, and growth; president of global strategy; and global brand building officer.

Find out what four key actions Procter & Gamble is taking to keep the brand at the forefront of change and a leader in making a positive difference worldwide.

Watch the video for highlights from Marc Pritchard’s talk.

The M. Keith Weikel Leadership Speaker Series at the Wisconsin School of Business enables Wisconsin MBA students to interact with and learn from accomplished business leaders and alumni. Executives from both the private and public sectors are invited to campus to address students.

The series was established in 2004 with a gift by John J. Oros (BBA ‘71) and his wife, Anne Wackman. Today, the series continues as the M. Keith Weikel MBA Leadership Speaker Series thanks to a gift by M. Keith Weikel (Ph.D. ‘66) and his wife, Barbara.
