Pete Schmeling strongly believes in the transformational power of philanthropy and has a history of experience in health care and the arts. As a Managing Senior Director of Development at the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association, he feels privileged to work with philanthropic supporters of the research, patient care, and education initiatives of the Department of Medicine within the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. He has also held development positions with Marshfield Clinic, St. Mary’s Hospital, Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, and Green Bay Symphony Orchestra.
Pete holds a Master of Arts in Business from the Bolz Center for Arts Administration at the Wisconsin School of Business, a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, and the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential. Outside of his career, Pete enjoys spending time with family and friends, finding things to do outdoors, and playing percussion.
