Nowell Marshall is the author of Romanticism, Gender, and Violence: Blake to George Sodini (Bucknell University Press, 2013) and essays on gothic, LGBTQ literature, and speculative fiction and film.

Before joining the University of Wisconsin School of Business, he taught writing at UW–Platteville and at Rider University in New Jersey where he also taught British and American gothic, eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British literature, critical theory, and LGBTQ studies.

He has seven years’ experience in journalism, marketing, and writing for print and online audiences in both academic and business settings.
