Kristin Bush graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Madison in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. After graduation, she accepted a role at PPD, Inc. as an Assistant Scientist where she gained a hands-on understanding of the production of pharmaceutical products. Her responsibilities included complex technical evaluation and analysis of pharmaceutical products for over ten clients. She was later promoted to Associate Scientist where she trained and managed a team of four analysts in the development of a product data tracking program used to analyze large product data sets and effectively communicate results with clients. While working at PPD, Kristin desired to experience a different and social working environment. With limited teaching experience, zero experience traveling abroad, and knowledge of only one Korean word, “hello,” Kristin flew to South Korea where she taught kindergarten English for over three years. This experience prepared her to be flexible and manage people and processes within the parameters of a foreign culture. Her interest in business and observations on the global effect of brands inspired her to eventually pursue her MBA in Brand and Product Management at the Wisconsin School of Business.
In her free time, Kristin enjoys hiking, reading, playing various sports, and spending time with her five nephews. She also enjoys volunteering her time in an ESL tutoring program and contributing to her friend’s company, Campo. Kristin is excited to begin her journey as an MBA student and is confident that her global learning experience through the Brand and Product Management Center will provide the skills and knowledge necessary to make a positive impact on society and the environment.
