Kevin Mackstutis graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 2012 with a B.S. in Engineering Mechanics and Astronautics. After graduating, he accepted a Process Engineer position at Aero Gear. In this role, he created manufacturing processes for aerospace gears and worked to streamline day-to-day production operations. He led engineering efforts in several Kaizen events and continuously saw up to 20% lead time reduction of the company’s highest production parts.
After three years, Kevin shifted gears to work for Cobham Integrated Electronic Solutions. Here he focused on developing assembly procedures based on hardware schematics for aerospace and defense electronics. In 2016, he returned to Aero Gear to take on a project management role as a Manufacturing Engineer. He spearheaded the development of a high production-machining cell, improving machine utilization by 120%. He also led the implementation of several technology initiatives such as machine monitoring and quality inspection software, 3D printing, and collaborative robots.
Outside of work, Kevin enjoys playing hockey and spending time outdoors golfing, hiking, or snowboarding. He is excited to pursue his MBA at the Wisconsin School of Business Erdman Center for Operations and Technology Management. He looks forward to sharpening his business skills so that he can drive innovative success in an increasingly technological business climate.
