MBA 2020 | Corporate Finance and Investment Banking

Ethan Tranel is excited to be a part of the Wisconsin MBA Program Specialization in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking.

Ethan graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics. After graduation, he accepted a Product Engineer role at Nexteer Automotive in Saginaw, MI, working on Electronic Power Steering Systems. In this role Ethan was the direct technical contact for customers such as Ford, GM, and FCA. He interfaced between the customer and internal teams, managed the software project timeline, and passed customer requirements to internal teams by writing the requirement specifications. His assignments included supporting Ford of Australia on the Ford Ranger and Ford Everest and two years supporting an early stage autonomous vehicle platform. A notable achievement was leading the development of a software safety component that was presented to the industry as a defensive publication to be used in autonomous vehicle applications.

In his free time, Ethan enjoys trying new restaurants with his wife, watching and playing football, learning ukulele, and spending time with his Boston terrier. He is also excited to be back in Wisconsin where he is closer to family. Ethan looks forward to returning to industry in a Corporate Development position after graduation.
