MBA 2021 | Brand and Product Management


Anuj Modi graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Dairy Science and minors in Global Health and Business Management for Agricultural & Life Sciences. Upon graduation, Anuj joined his third-generation family-owned business, Lotus Dairy, as the Director of Business Development where he worked ardently to explore lucrative business opportunities in India and abroad. During his time at Lotus Dairy, Anuj led the marketing division, launched 9 new products across 4 categories, planned and oversaw new distribution channels generating more than $700,000 in incremental sales per year, established a presence in all major retail supermarket stores in India, and initiated exports to countries in Middle East and Southeast Asia. He also founded a subsidiary venture – Sun Village, a dairy brand focusing on promoting healthier ways of living by offering natural and nutritional products to Indian consumers.

Through his education at UW and his entrepreneurial journey in the Indian dairy sector, Anuj brings thoughtful leadership on issues of international significance such as food security, sustainability, and nutrition.

Outside of work, Anuj likes to spend time reading books, baking for his friends, playing racquetball, and studying for his private helicopter pilot license. He also loves traveling and exploring new cultures through food as he believes it to be an important expression of cultural identity.

Anuj is excited to move back to Wisconsin to pursue his MBA in Brand and Product Management at the Wisconsin School of Business where he aspires to further enhance his intellectual capabilities in the area of marketing and business development.
