MBA 2020 | Operations and Technology Management


Anish Trakru graduated in 2011 from BMS College of Engineering, with a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science (First Class with Distinction). Based on his performance during his final semester internship at HP Autonomy, he was selected for a Full-Time opportunity as a QA Engineer. At HP Autonomy, Anish strengthened the company’s Automated Software Testing Framework, saving 150+ man-hours.

Anish’s interest in product development led to a shift to Samsung R&D, the largest R&D facility of Samsung overseas. Over the last 6.5 years at Samsung, he has built user-centric innovative USP solutions for Tizen platform. In addition, as part of the Technical Product Management team, he built roadmaps for commercialization of the world’s first four Tizen-powered smartphones. While leading projects, Anish collaborated with technology experts from cross-functional teams spread across South Korea, China, Japan, Bangladesh, Vietnam and India to design, develop and commercialize these solutions. As part of the commercialization process, Anish has also led teams to improve the Tizen platform. His performance over these years at Samsung has won him 3 promotions and 5 awards and he also became a Samsung Certified Advanced Programmer after clearing Samsung’s Global Software Competency Examination.

Anish’s passion in product management led him to enroll in MBA program at Wisconsin School of Business where Anish will further enhance his business & management skills and develop expertise in Technology Product Management as part of his Technology Management & Operations specialization.
