Benjamin Judge graduated from the University of North Carolina Asheville in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. After graduating he took a job with Epic Systems Corporation as a project manager, working with large hospital systems to implement the Professional Billing and Single Billing Office Modules. In addition to his customer responsibilities, Ben also led the reporting success division of the professional billing team. This experience honed his problem solving and project management skills managing deadlines for both internal and customer teams. After Epic, Ben moved to State Collection Service Inc, a family owned medical receivables company. At State, Ben worked to onboard new clients and vendors and designed workflows to improve efficiency for clients as they outsourced their business office to State. He helped integrate gamification into the representative's daily workflows which increased collection efficiency. Ben was also the point person for all internal process improvement and worked with staff to identify and improve outdated workflows.
While not working, Ben enjoys cycling, trying new restaurants, and cheering for the Wisconsin Badgers and Seattle Mariners. He is excited to join the Erdman Center for Operations and Technology Management to strengthen his management and analytical skills to help healthcare organizations develop long-term revenue cycle strategies.
