MBA 2020 | Operations and Technology Management

Hung Khanh Tran graduated from Swinburne University, Melbourne, Australia in 2012 with a Bachelor of Business Information System. After graduation, he moved back to Vietnam to work for Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HSX) as project assistant of its Project Management Unit. Managing technology projects of various natures including hardware procurement, consulting, and software upgrade and implementation, it equipped him with extensive project management skills such as scheduling, contract management, and cost controlling, and more importantly, an understanding of the practices, drives, and limitations of how tech businesses are conducted in Vietnam.

Following his assignment as Business Account Manager of HSX’s new integrated system implementation project, he successfully coordinated the analysis and design activities of this complex project which would replace every current system and set the foundation for the Vietnam financial market in the next 15 years. He also assumed responsibility as Lead Business Analyst for the future core trading system and successfully delivered the complete requirements for the structure of the Vietnam financial market and trading procedure.

After 5 years working for HSX, Hung recently joined CMC Corporation as senior business consultant to engage customers and deliver fast-to-market solutions based on cloud-based platform Salesforce and low-code platform Outsystems.

While not working, Hung enjoys outdoor activities with friends, weight lifting, traveling or keeping himself amused with science-fiction TV shows. He is excited to pursue his MBA at the Wisconsin School of Business Center for Operation and Technology to add management and leadership skills to his versatile technology skillset.
