MBA 2020 | Operations and Technology Management


Richa Bansal graduated in 2010 from the Delhi College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology. After graduation, she joined a marketing company Channel-play Limited as a Developer. The 2 years she spent there were truly transformative for her as she led teams, critical assignments, managed client relationships, self-learnt new skills and enhanced her network. She even received an accelerated promotion to Assistant Manager and the chance to coordinate multiple teams.

Later, witnessing so much entrepreneurial activity, she joined a family business to get exposure to this entrepreneurial culture. Leading the technical team of 6, she setup the whole IT infrastructure for the Business. Once done though, she saw little scope for her to grow further, hence re-entered the corporate world at SSP Insurance Company as a Senior Software Engineer where she supervised the UXP team of India Branch. Realizing her creative approach and analytical skills, Richa was assigned international clients and was responsible for understanding and providing feasible technical solutions according to the business requirements.

Outside of work, she likes to read classical novels, enjoys Do IT Yourself (DIY) projects which enlighten her on new topics, and staying active through swimming and martial arts.

She is excited for her MBA journey at the Wisconsin School of Business in the Center for Operation and Technology Management. She will further sharpen her decision-making skills to adapt to a dynamic business environment with a goal of being a product manager in a leading tech company where she will be working with cross functional team and responsible for creating roadmap, marketing and sales of the product.
