MBA 2021 | Corporate Finance and Investment Banking


Nischay Shrestha graduated from Pokhara University, Nepal in 2015 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing. Even before graduating, Nischay was a full-time analyst at Investment Management Services Pvt. Ltd, Nepal’s premier financial services company. There he created a centralized database of financial performances of more than 150 companies, doubling the efficiency of the analytics department. After graduation, he joined Business Brainz Pvt. Ltd, where he led a team of analysts to prepare insight-based reports on business and technology strategies of fortune 100 companies while also training new recruits. With a desire to work closely with IT teams, Nischay joined Bhuntu Inc., a technology focused travel and leisure company where, as a project manager, he supervised the creation of a digital product line for the organization.

Outside of his core work responsibilities, Nischay has been involved in various community activities. He helped create a ‘get out the vote’ video for the 2017 federal election in Nepal that was viewed more than 50,000 times on social media. He has led volunteers on activities ranging from painting a school in the outskirts of Kathmandu, to conducting a book donation program for underprivileged children in rural Nepal.

When he is not working, Nischay enjoys strumming the guitar and playing with the nearest dog. He is also currently learning French and is fluent in English, Hindi and Nepali. He is excited to pursue his MBA at the Wisconsin School of Business Nicolas Center for Corporate Finance and Investment Banking to learn to leverage technology to solve problems in the world of finance.
