Kayla Anne Lewis graduated in 2012 from Temple University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. After graduation she worked at a tax consulting firm as a Data Analyst where she prepared client data for state government tax incentives and federal credits. Following this role she worked at various oil and gas companies in Houston, TX as an HR contractor working on projects including a company demerger, new benefit plan implementation, employee and labor relations as well as recruiting. These projects, covering a broad range of Human Resources functions led to her obtaining her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification in 2016. At this time she also accepted an HR Coordinator position at Goodman Manufacturing (Daikin) where she worked in the Shared Services department to manage pay discrepancies and employee communications. In Kayla’s most recent role she was promoted to Talent Acquisition Specialist to assist in managing the Contingent Workforce division of the Recruiting team where she implemented strategies to decrease employee turnover.
Outside of work, Kayla enjoys swimming, cooking, practicing yoga and listening to podcasts. She is an avid traveler with a passion for people and cultures but also makes sure to visit her hometown of Barbados at least once a year. She looks forward to joining the Wisconsin School of Business to continue her education and gain the skills necessary to become an organizational leader in human capital strategy.
