Parthasarathy Muthyala Bhaskar graduated from SSN College of Engineering, Chennai, in 2007 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science. After graduation, he joined Infosys Limited as a Software Engineer and within a year into his first project, he was given a lead role in recognition of his people management skills. He worked on several important projects that earned sizable revenue for his client and after leading a team of five people on the team for three years, he transitioned to the United States as an onsite coordinator.
While in the USA, Partha worked closely with one of Infosys’ clients in the legal publishing domain and helped them with crucial transformation programs. During his tenure of 6 years in the USA, he was part of requirements elaboration, design development and reviews, code reviews and walkthroughs, User Acceptance Testing, and Release and Post Release management. While in the US, Partha was promoted three times and as he grew professionally, he developed great rapport and working relationships with the customers. From his onsite experience, he understood the nuances of working in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment and learned to balance the demands of the customer and setting realistic expectations, at the same time managing his own team’s workload and helping to keep the team’s morale high.
Outside of his official responsibilities, Partha is active in sports, especially in tennis, winning in tournaments in India and the USA. He loves to cook and bake and has been an active contributor to the yearly ‘Bake for a Cure’, an event organized for Breast Cancer awareness, and whose sale proceeds go to the US Cancer Foundation. He is excited to return to graduate school and is eager to join his classmates in the Operations and Technology Management specialization at the Wisconsin School of Business. He believes his experience will come in handy as he makes his transition to the classroom from the office doors and wants to diversify his knowledge and understanding of business operations.
