MBA 2022 | Corporate Finance and Investment Banking

Daniel Mellen graduated from DePaul University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management Information Systems. Upon graduating, he began his career at CVS Health as a Financial Analyst in its Specialty Pharmacy. In this position, Daniel revamped daily financial and operational reporting, consolidating the necessary data and getting it out to the group earlier. His primary role was working with management and analysts in order to facilitate the $42 billion budget and forecast for the Specialty Pharmacy. This was done using a combination of database management and knowledge of the changing pharmacy atmosphere. Additionally, Daniel oversaw tracking drug pricing, operational metrics, and manufacturer rebates for the $12 billion Autoimmune drug portfolio. Daniel’s analytical nature and drive to deliver results that go above and beyond business partner’s expectations is what drove him to pursue his MBA. With this degree, he hopes to enter the Financial Services industry. Outside of work, Daniel enjoys learning about history, reading, baseball, and staying active. Daniel is excited to join the Wisconsin School of Business Nicholas Center for Corporate Finance and Investment Banking in order to further his education.
