A recent study published in the Academy of Management Learning & Education places Alex Stajkovic in the top one percent of most-cited textbook authors in the field of organizational behavior. Stajkovic is an associate professor and the M. Keith Weikel Distinguished Chair in Leadership in the Department of Management and Human Resources at the Wisconsin School of Business.

The study examined scholarly impact on students by measuring the most highly cited articles and authors across 38 undergraduate textbooks relating to organizational behavior, strategic management, human resource management, and general management. Stajkovic ranked #50 out of 16,289 authors, a position shared with six other researchers on the list.

He also placed in the study’s “most-cited articles in organizational behavior textbooks” category, and in the “most-cited articles in general management textbooks” category.

Stajkovic’s research focuses on leadership and organizational behavior. He has received numerous awards for his research and teaching including the Gaumnitz Distinguished Research Award and the Mabel Chipman Excellence in Teaching Award from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and the Excellence in Teaching Award from the University of California–Irvine.

Stajkovic serves on the editorial boards of leading management and human resources journals. He is a contributing editor to the Journal of Applied Psychology and an advisory council member of the Harvard Business Review, as well as a member of the Midwestern Psychological Association and the Society for the Science of Motivation.
