The U.S. News & World Report 2021 rankings for U.S. graduate programs are now available. The Wisconsin School of Business (WSB) full-time MBA program is ranked #15 among all public schools and #37 overall in a two-way tie. The Wisconsin part-time MBA program is ranked #16 among public schools and #28 overall in a two-way tie.

“Wisconsin is known for delivering an exceptional ROI through extensive career preparation and exceptional career outcomes,” says Enno Siemsen, associate dean for MBA and master’s programs. “Our students benefit from dedicated support that set them up for success in customized career paths.”

WSB specialty programs were also recognized by U.S. News including real estate, which ranked #3, and marketing, which ranked #23.

“Through our full-time MBA specializations, students access real-world applied learning and advisory boards that connect them with the network and resources they need to succeed after graduation,” notes Siemsen. The Center for Brand and Product Management and the A.C. Nielsen Center for Marketing Analytics and Insights train future leaders in marketing. At the same time, the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate prepares professionals to succeed in commercial real estate.

As one of the nation’s first business programs, the Wisconsin School of Business has a proud history and an important role to play in educating future business leaders.

“We are proud to rank among the top MBA programs in the U.S. consistently,” notes Dean Vallabh Sambamurthy.

“The rankings are one of many indicators that help showcase the value of our programs. We know our robust curriculum, engaged faculty, and collaborative learning environment are also important factors in delivering a quality business education,” says Dean Sambamurthy.

It is helpful to understand how the U.S. News & World Report rankings are determined. Though the ranking methodology is fixed, many variables affect outcomes each year. Specialties rankings are based solely on peer assessment scores, while the full-time and part-time MBA programs are ranked based on numerous data points, including:

  • Quality assessment – which includes a peer assessment
  • Student selectivity
  • Recruiter assessment and career placement success for full-time MBA only
