Wisconsin School of Business students can earn their degree with a major in entrepreneurship. Students earning a non-business degree from UW-Madison who have an interest in entrepreneurship may earn the certificate by combining business courses with relevant courses across campus.
The Certificate in Business (CIB) provides non-business students with a foundational understanding of business concepts including accounting, finance, management, marketing, and human resources. The additional coursework may be a differentiator when applying for jobs, in addition to widening your knowledge base.
The Certificate in Entrepreneurship focuses on skills needed to participate in or facilitate a new venture. Courses relate specifically to the role of entrepreneurship in society, venture creation, and managing venture growth. Relevant courses are available campus-wide allowing for flexibility and customization of the certificate based on your interests and goals.

To earn the certificate you must earn a 2.5 GPA in Certificate in Entrepreneurship courses and they may not be taken pass/fail.
