Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree completed or expected completion by start of the program
  • Prerequisites: Demonstrated knowledge of business fundamentals completed or expected completion by start of program. Examples include:
    • Undergraduate degree in Business
    • Completion of a Certificate in Business from UW–Madison
    • Completion of a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from UW–Madison
    • College coursework in general business, entrepreneurship, and leadership
    • Completion of arts entrepreneurship courses or equivalent
  • Standardized test scores:
    • No GMAT or GRE test score required as part of the admission process
    • TOEFL or IELTS test scores; international candidates only, and candidates may be eligible for a waiver
  • Transcripts from all academic institutions
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Current résumé
  • One letter of recommendation required, preferably addressing the applicant’s professional skills. Submission of one additional letter of recommendation is optional.
  • Response to essay questions
  • Application and application fee
  • Interview with Bolz Center by invitation only with completed application

The following costs apply to the 2019-2020 academic year. Estimated expenses for books, supplies, room and board are provided separately by the University of Wisconsin–Madison Office of Student Financial Aid.
