Full-Time MBA Grads Answer “Why Wisconsin?”

Four 2019 graduates reflect on their career-changing decisions

Shortly before graduation, we sat down with four Wisconsin Full-Time MBA students to discuss their unique journeys to the Wisconsin School of Business, their career goals, and how they made their MBA decisions. Enjoy learning about Josh, Melissa, Aggie, and Will–all of whom are now marketing professionals with high-level roles across the country.

Josh Torres (MBA ’19)

  • From corporate attorney to brand manager, Josh was able to springboard to a career he was passionate about. The Wisconsin School of Business offered everything he was looking for in an MBA from core management, to leadership, marketing, and finance skills. Now, Josh is pursuing the career he wanted at SC Johnson.

Aggie Howland (MBA ’19)

  • Aggie was able to reset from business-to-business public relations to an in-house marketing role as a brand manager at Intuit, Inc.

Melissa Abney (MBA ’19)

  • Melissa expanded her knowledge and experiences to grow as a leader. She met her goal of working closer to the consumer as an assistant brand manager at Proctor & Gamble.

Will Rosenheimer (MBA ’19)

  • Will has a tech and nonprofit background, working in business development and sales. He wanted to refocus his career in marketing, gain more refined quantitative skills, and pursue brand management. Will was able to reach his career goal and is now an assistant brand manager at General Mills.

The Wisconsin Full-Time MBA Program offers ten career specializations that give you a deep focus in your career area of interest. Josh, Melissa, Aggie, and Will specialized in brand and product management. Students in this specialization earn an average starting salary of $106,618, with 97% of 2018 students gaining employment within three months of graduation.
