The Wisconsin Evening MBA Program is broadening my experiences and deepening my business knowledge. Being an alumnus of UW–Madison, I knew that I would get a quality education in a supportive yet challenging environment. It’s great to be in a place where you can learn from expert faculty, collaborate with students from different business disciplines, and consult a career services team for your long-term career planning.
The program office support and lockstep cohort approach were key reasons I applied to Wisconsin. I attended an information session before applying. During the info session, I got to hear directly from current students on how the collaborative team-based approach sets you up for success in the program. After that, I knew Wisconsin was the place for me.
I would describe the culture of the program as welcoming, supportive, and high achieving. Being in a part-time program with others who are working in their full-time jobs brings a different level of connection and understanding between us.

I particularly appreciate that the class is made up of people from diverse roles and industries. This allows us to find many different ways to solve problems. Also, as we work together, we’re learning so much about each other, professionally and personally, and building a network that will last beyond our days in the program.
I’m finding that I can quickly apply what I am learning and the skills that I am building to be more effective at my job. My writing and communication to various stakeholders, in particular, has improved. Given my role in HR, the Managing Organizational Behavior class is specifically helping me at work by giving me a broader perspective on how different concepts can apply across industries and roles.
The program staff provides phenomenal support. Everyone in the office is friendly and helpful. Sometimes the small things are easy to forget and the program staff helps make sure nothing falls through the cracks. They also helped me navigate tuition reimbursement with my employer, which added a lot of value to my experience so far.
