Wisconsin Evening MBA helped me build on my past work experience and gain skills to advance in management. With previous experience in industries including nuclear power, HVAC design, and custom iron manufacturing, I had excellent technical and problem-solving skills, but the focus was fairly narrow given where I wanted to go in my career. My MBA training broadened my view and gave me skills to expand my career options.
Reputation and schedule made Wisconsin the clear choice for me among the MBA programs I researched. The Wisconsin School of Business is a top-ranked business school, and the Wisconsin Evening MBA Program is tailored to the needs of professionals like me who are looking to advance their careers while continuing to work. The program includes classes two evenings a week, which is very manageable.

My Wisconsin Evening MBA cohort was an impressive group of hardworking professionals. A wide variety of industries and backgrounds were represented. I enjoyed the fact that each member of my cohort brought a different perspective, which led to dynamic discussions each class session.
I gained a broad understanding of business strategy and began applying concepts immediately. Through my accounting, economics, and financial management classes, I learned business fundamentals I was lacking. I felt like I began adding more value to my role as I understood the bigger picture, and I gained directly applicable knowledge.
Working with my career coach, I got valuable advice on positioning myself professionally for the career I wanted. The career services staff helped me create a customized career plan, including development of my MBA-level résumé and practice gaining solid interview skills that helped me move toward my goals.
