As a military veteran, you will find that the Wisconsin Executive MBA Program complements and builds on your military experience, equipping you to move into a senior-level position in a civilian career. A military background brings leadership, organizational, and analytical skills that are directly applicable to strategic leadership roles.

Students with military experience are also welcome additions to the Executive MBA cohort, bringing fresh perspectives to their project teams and class discussions.

Outside of the classroom, students with military backgrounds are valued members of the Wisconsin School of Business learning community. Executive MBA students are welcome to participate in any of our student organizations, including the MBA Veterans Club, an active social organization that serves as a resource to new students. Members of the club also give back to the community and increase military awareness within all Wisconsin MBA programs.

Support Services for Military Applicants

Wisconsin Executive MBA students with military backgrounds have access to extensive support services and other resources from the Veterans Services & Military Assistance Center at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Center professionals help military applicants navigate their federal, state, and health benefits. The center also helps student connect with a variety of academic, social, and health resources on campus.

Federal and State Financial Assistance

The Evening and Executive MBA programs are recognized as programs eligible for use of military and veterans education benefits. The Veterans Services & Military Assistance Center at the University of Wisconsin–Madison is able to assist with questions about military benefits.

Brian Kline

“The Wisconsin Executive MBA Program is a great fit for a mid-career veteran. The professors are not only outstanding, but they also recognize the challenge of balancing work, family, and school. The program provides the knowledge, skills, and network that a leader needs to augment their military experience in order to excel in business. I, like many of my classmates, moved to a better job while in the program.”
