After learning about the Wisconsin Executive MBA Program, I knew that its curriculum and structure were closely aligned with my core values, principles, and educational aspirations. I could tell it would serve as a catalyst to successfully accomplish my short and long-term career goals.
Early in the program, I took a new position leading the disruptive innovation team which expands across several brands and product forms. Earning my MBA prepared me by equipping me with organizational and leadership tools to drive conversations around team strategies, goals, vision, and mission.
I am passionate about creating a vision that inspires. The Wisconsin Executive MBA Program enables you to discover your personal leadership style. I aspire to motivate people to achieve goals and drive purpose by setting clear expectations, sharing ownership and visibility, and creating solid strategic plans that foster open communication and collaboration.
I contribute my unique personal and professional experiences to the program. I add my experience as a global citizen and as an inquisitive person that values thinking outside the norm. I also bring my perspective as a first-generation college student and a Latina and Hispanic professional in the CPG industry.
The professors at the Wisconsin School of Business are top notch, and I have enjoyed every single class for different reasons. There are so many lessons I’ve learned from faculty that I apply to my work regularly. Specific areas I’ve enjoyed are marketing management, pricing and strategy, situational planning, supply chain management, and strategic mapping.
I’m originally from El Salvador. I went to college in Honduras. Attending Zamorano University in Honduras was one of the most crucial decisions in my life. I left my home country and was the first in my family to do so. That experience opened my eyes to different cultures, traditions, and approaches to life. It also opened the door for me to pursue my first master’s degree at the University of Florida, to get the career I have with a leading CPG company, and to now be earning my executive MBA.
My team in the program is very diverse from a professional background standpoint—operations, market research, health care, and more. The diversity of perspectives makes our team discussions very rich. My classmates’ dedication, camaraderie, and resiliency serve as motivation to push through the stressful times. We know that we can count on each other, and we will succeed as a team.
