Operations and technology management students in the Wisconsin MBA Program are offered full-time positions at major corporations such as Dow AgroScience, Whirlpool, DISH Network LLC, GE Healthcare, American Express, Royal Caribbean, Oracle, Intuit Inc., Microsoft, Amazon, Dell, HP, Deloitte, Samsung, and SC Johnson and Son, Inc. Students have a very successful full-time and internship placement rate as operations managers, product managers, senior analysts, and consultants at an average starting salary of well over $100,000. An expansive curriculum covering a variety of industries, operations, and information technology systems qualifies operations and technology management students to start management careers across the business spectrum.
The specialization in operations and technology management is Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)-designated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, in recognition of the Wisconsin MBA Program’s specialization model and quantitative approach to learning. Students in this specialization are able to apply for a 24-month STEM extension of Optional Practical Training (OPT) after graduation, in addition to the standard 12 months of OPT, for a total of 36 months of employment in the United States to complement their academic experience.
