Strong leaders are adept at solving problems creatively, influencing and leading, managing under pressure, and thinking beyond their own personal gain for the greater good. Employers know that individuals who demonstrate these qualities add value to their organizations.
Through the Leadership Catalyst program, the Wisconsin MBA invites you to explore the meaning of leadership and develop new skills in the three critical areas of individual, team, and organizational leadership. Programming is based on a blend of servant leadership and transformational leadership theory.
Leadership Catalyst includes a variety of curricular and co-curricular activities that prepare you for future leadership roles, including academic courses, assessment tools such as StrengthsFinder 2.0©, and workshops. Examples of workshop topics include creative problem-solving, nonprofit board leadership, and leading without direct authority.
Experience Leadership in Action
The M. Keith Weikel MBA Leadership Speaker Series brings accomplished individuals in a variety of fields to campus to share their knowledge and experiences. Wisconsin MBA students enjoy the exclusive privilege of attending receptions and interacting with these inspiring leaders.
You will also have opportunities to hone your leadership skills through case competitions, the semester capstone Integrated Company Analysis (ICA), diversity “lunch and learns,” TED© Talk discussions, student organization involvement, global travel, and more.
