Student organizations are fun, welcoming places to network, practice leadership, and deepen your knowledge while getting to know other MBA students. These organizations bring together students based on specific career specializations or other common interests.

The Graduate Business Association (GBA) represents all Wisconsin MBA students. GBA coordinates a popular golf outing and annual spring ball. It hosts presentations by noted business leaders and sponsors student-led community service projects. GBA also organizes teams that compete in everything from local marathons to February’s “Polar Plunge,” when students jump into a chilly Lake Mendota to raise money for Special Olympics Wisconsin.

Support for Families and Partners

The Joint Venture Club provides graduate students and their spouses, partners, significant others, and/or children a social network of support. Because family and partners are an integral part of a student's experience, the club works to foster community and help ease the transition to Madison.

The club organizes several events for significant others and family members each semester. Activities for families have included trips to the Henry Vilas Zoo, Madison Children’s Museum, and a local apple orchard for a hayride. Spouses and partners have participated in book club discussions, Bunko games, dinners out, and movie nights.
