The Wisconsin BBA Program is selective, with just under half of the current University of Wisconsin–Madison students who apply accepted for admission. Thanks to this selectivity, the Wisconsin School of Business boasts a student body that is focused and engaged. Our highly talented undergraduate students, in turn, attract recruiting employers who return to Wisconsin year after year to fill internships and full-time positions.

Although the Wisconsin BBA Program is competitive, we do everything we can to help you prepare for the admissions process. The Wisconsin School of Business strives for a great fit between applicants and what we have to offer. Our focus is on partnering with you to help you make the best choice for your future.

Pathways to the Wisconsin BBA

There are three different admission paths to the Wisconsin BBA Program. The most common of these is the pre-business admission process for students who are already enrolled at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. There are separate admissions processes for future UW–Madison students who are still in high school and wish to apply to the Wisconsin School of Business directly, and for transfer students.

The right choice for you depends on your current goals and where you are in your journey to becoming a Business Badger.

Current UW–Madison Students

About 90 percent of Wisconsin BBA students enter the Wisconsin School of Business through what is called the pre-business admissions process. This process is designed for students who are already enrolled at UW–Madison and who are admitted to the program in the fall semester of their second year. Pre-business students typically apply in the spring of their first year; those who are admitted begin in the fall semester of their second year.
