Shasparay Irvin in a Black ARTS Matter t-shirt

Shasparay Irvin (BS ’20, MA ’23)

A self-described hustler, Shasparay Irvin has never shied away from a business opportunity—especially when it involves something she’s passionate about. This performer and entrepreneur founded the Black Arts Matter Festival in 2019, curating a blend of slam poetry, music, and visual arts with representation from local and national artists.

Nick Fetzer (BBA ’23)

Nick Fetzer is serving up more than just coffee as general manager and part-owner of the new Bitty & Beau’s Coffee franchise in Boulder, Colorado. By employing and empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, he’s changing attitudes, creating a culture of understanding, and proving that this business model isn’t just impactful—but profitable, too.
